Agram Group Build Project #1 (part 7)
In this series of articles, we will follow our Goran, Kruno and Marko in the making of a diorama set in New York / Gotham in the mid-1980s. Diorama is being built as part of a new UMS "Agram" project called Agram Group Build, which was created after the trio discussed joint projects to be done on Wednesdays and how cool it would be to gather more people to work on something together… This gave birth to the idea of Group Builds... The idea is for everyone to do something on each of these three projects - the main rule (except that there are no rules) is not to mess with other people's work. That we all participate and make some kind of Frankenstein monster ...
MARKO: This time, just before Group Build on Wednesday, the resin parts from RT Diorama arrived by post, which made us happy because it meant that Kruno would have something to keep him occupied with while I was giving the last lecture at the Terrain Workshop. This time the topic of the lecture was vegetation.
And then we photographed the finished terrain…
KRUNO: KRUNO: I arrived to the Group Build a little later this Wednesday, so everything was already set up. I also missed the lemonade… But that's why I was greeted by a cleaning treat. New diorama parts from RT-Diorama.
There were all sorts of bits and pieces there... industrial ventilation openings with and without fans, valves of different dimensions, junction boxes in various states (torn, whole, closed, open…). They needed to be cleaned of excess support from the 3D print. Since it is resin it is quite sensitive and the castings are brittle, so you need to be careful. The new knife makes work much easier.
I started assembling another garbage container because with so many purchased diorama elements we are slowly having trouble disposing of unused elements and some of them are sensitive to pushing and shoving when stacked.
All in all, a nice, quiet and pleasant Wednesday...
GORAN: This time I ventured to explain to our newest, and somewhat younger participants of the Terrain Workshop a little on a real example of how the tabletop strategy game is played. The example was the Warhammer 40000.
I set out to explain the character and appearance of both armies (Black Templars and Dark Angels) and then continued a little on the subject of Warhammer 40000 itself. During the game, I repeatedly emphasized the specific rules and situations on the table as they arose while the participants watched and absorbed it with great interest.
Feel free to contact us here if you are interested! We are every Wednesday from 6 pm to 10 pm in KD ZZTK on Trg žrtava fašizma 14.
