Making a miniature from electronic components
In today's article, I will describe the process of making a miniature from electronic components. I got the idea for this during Agram's Spring Painting Competition on the FB group Miniature Painters Croatia. This time the rules required kitbashing the figure, not just painting it so it occurred to me how convenient it would be to make a figure out of some unusual parts.
In the construction I used:
- Red plain LED
- Capacitor
- 4 larger resistors
- 4 smaller resistors
- 2 diodes
- 2 small capacitors
- screw from the laptop case
- An old mini circular saw
First I cut off the excess legs with pliers and arranged the parts to see how they fit and whether anything else needs to be changed / added.
I pinned most of the parts and glued them to the body of the miniature - a capacitor.
I soldered my arms and legs at the elbows and knees.
When soldering, I paid attention to the position of the figure and at what angle I solder the parts.
The last thing I did was to drill a hole in the circular saw so I could charge it to the LED.
