Highlighting leaves on a plastic palm tree
In the picture below you can see the tools and colors I used in this process:
I started the paint process with a 1:2 mix of Irati Green and Sherwood Green from Scale 75.
The process is more overbrushing than drybrushing, I worked with a brush that I normally use for drybrushing, however, I chose this process, because I had the impression that it gives a faster result, unlike drybrushing, where a certain amount of persistence and patience is required.
I then added a drop of Sahara Yellow from Scale 75 to that mix.
The next step is to mix Fall Green from Scale 75 into the previous mix.
Then, stirring persistently, I added Thar Brown from Scale 75 to the previous mixture, and since the paper is quite thin and not resistant to wear, it damaged and punctured it.
In the last two pictures you can see the result of this simple, effective and quick procedure:
The key is to gradually apply a lighter and different color to a smaller and smaller area of the leaves, depending on the final desired result.
* As a reference and inspiration, I used the booklet from AK Interactive "Mastering vegetation in modeling".
